Geeky Guide: E3 2015 : Bethesda

It’s almost here! E3 2015 kicks off on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Leading up the E3, I will be posting mini guides on here that will feature some of the top publishers/manufacturers presenting at E3 along with a list of predictions of what they will be announcing.

What’s E3?

E3 is the Electronic Entertainment Expo. It is an annual trade fair that started in 1995. Think of it as THE event for announcements for upcoming games and consoles. This is a chance for all of the video game industry’s top talent and publishers to show-off what they have been working on. This is also a chance for you to start budgeting your money for all the upcoming fall releases.

Get your wish lists ready as I break down the schedule for E3 2015 and highlight some of the games we might see during the Expo.

Bethesda Softworks is known for Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Evil Within, Dishonored

Bethesda  E3 Predictions :

DOOM: It was announced during Quakecon that Bethesda will be showcasing DOOM, the fourth installment of the DOOM series. The E3 2015 teaser trailer below was released. It has been rumored that we will be seeing even more gameplay footage from DOOM  during E3. The game is slated to be released on Microsoft Windows PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Fallout 4

Will it be announced? Will it not be announced? The rumor mill is definitely spinning when it comes to Fallout 4. There’s a definite strong possibility that Fallout 4 will be announced at E3 2015. The schedule for Bethesda for E3 has listed that a next-gen RPG will be presented on stage. Several sites took that as a sign that it may very well be the announcement for Fallout 4 and a possibility of a trailer for the game. Every where you look online, people are pulling clues to this possible announcement. According to, a new piece of Fallout merchandise could also be adding fuel to the rumor mill fire; a Brotherhood of Steel necklace ($110). This sequel is definitely the one that everyone is looking out for during Bethesda’s presentation.

Elder Scrolls: 6

Even though I’m a huge Elder Scrolls fan, I’m going to place this one in the ‘Probably Not Going to Happen at E3 2015’ pile. With Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) still being a fairly new (released April 2014) and popular title for the franchise, Bethesda might wait on announcing the sixth installment of the series and stick to ESO for right now. Elder Scrolls Online will be heading to PS4 and Xbox One on June 9th, this is just days before the Expo. We could possibly see an announcement for an expansion pack for ESO in the meantime.

The rumored release date for Elder Scrolls: 6 is March 2016.
